Thoughts on the Singularity University Canadian Summit

Listening to Peter Diamonds talking about the road to abundance has to be my highlight from the first Singularity University Canadian Summit.

The road to abundance presented an optimistic look at the future and how the 6 D’s of exponential growth will create a world in which resource scarcity does not exist.

You can read the article below to learn more about the 6 D’s of abundance (Digitized, Deceptive, Disruptive, Demonetized, Dematerialized, and Democratized) but the big take away was that we need to own these changes to help drive positive growth in technology like AI and blockchain.

It was also a great experience getting my hands on the technology that will be driving growth across all industries. Reading about Augmented and Virtual Reality is great but it only becomes truly tangible when you get your hands on the products companies are building today and prove its value. It makes the ethical implications that Alexx Henry raised regarding the impacts that avatars will have on human perception real and immediate.

Overall it was a great experience and I am excited to go again.
